Cookies and Persuasion
Today in class Veronica brought in homemade cookies which were fantastic. Then Veronica started to complain about having the test tomorrow when the other classes are taking it Thursday and Friday. Mr.Schick said that if we had a good discussion about Hammurabi's Code that our test would be changed until Thursday. So for the remainder of class we talked about Hammurabi's Code and some of the crazy laws that their were. For example, if a man striked a pregnant women and she loses her child he has to pay the mother ten shackles.($2.50) But, if the woman dies the man's daughter will be killed. Or if a son struck his father his hands shall be cut off. These are only a few of the crazy things that were on Hammurabi's Code. However, we were able to convince Mr.Schick to move the test until Thursday so now we all get another day to review:)
